The College has an excellent library and information centre-one of the central support services of the in¬stitution, which acts as a primary source for information seekers, be it students, faculty or researchers. The library has been carefully designed to maximize natural lightning to the users and provide a comfortable seating and reading environment. The library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD, DVD, online data base, books, journals, e-journals. It is a spacious library comprising an area of 3000 sq feet with a sitting capacity of 50 readers with a collection of about 30,000 text books, reference and other books with 19 no of journals and magazine, 11 news papers in English, Assamese, Hindi, Bengali and Bodo. The Library remains open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in all working days except on Saturdays. On Saturday it remains open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Number of Library Cards issued to the students are as below

  2. Degree (General) Classes - 2

  3. Degree (Honours) Classes - 4 (Certificate from HOD is required)

  4. PG Class- 4

A Student is not allowed to keep books for more than 15 days from the date is issue. In case a student fails to return the books within the stipulated period, he/she will be penalized. Books lost, defaced or mutilated in any way shall have to be replaced by the concerned borrower.

The library is being modernized and the process of library automation has been completed. The library provides Xerox facilities and book-bank facilities. As part of up gradation, digital infrastructure is going to be set with the financial help of the state Government.

The library is equipped with CCTV Camera for surveillance. Internet facilities for students and N list facilities from INFLIBNET Ahmadabad are also available in the library.
